• Toiletries - there is not restroom facilities

• Lightweight sun gloves
• Insect repellent

• Pocket knife

Clothing: Pants, leggings, or shorts, long-sleeve shirt, light jacket (down has best weight to warmth ratio), 

Footwear: Appropriate for walking on uneven terrain with obstacles like rocks, sticks and downed trees. Hiking shoes with a decent tread and ankle support are ideal. 

Water:  The lightest option is a Platypus container, but a 700 or 1000 ml. plastic water bottle is a great lightweight option and can be reused multiple times. Nalgene and stainless bottles are also good choices. Bring at between 1.5 and 2 liters of water. 

You can expect to hike even if the weather is less than perfect. That said, we will occasionally have to cancel hikes when extreme conditions exist. Weather related cancelations made by Hike Southwest will be rescheduled for a future date at a 10% discounted price.

Hiking locations may be substituted due to weather or any other unforeseen conditions or closures.

To reserve your spot, full payment of $175 is required.

Trips canceled 30 days or more before to adventure time will be credited the full amount. Trips cancelled inside 30 days or less will be credited the full amount towards a future adventure.

In the event of weather or natural disaster-related cancelations, we will provide an alternate date or full refund upon the discretion of Hike Southwest.
